Step 1  -           By-laws

Read the by-laws here, and make sure you meet the requirements for running for office and voting.  If you became a member by January 4, 2018, you meet the 28-day-requirement.  These by-laws state a 30-day requirement.  However, an amendment to change the requirement from 30 days to 28 days of paid membership (so that members joining at the meeting prior could participate) was passed by membership at the January 4, 2018 meeting.

Step 2 -   Positions

Check out the Officer positions here. Please note that the Committeewoman and Committeeman positions elected positions during the primaries of an election year and the Members-At-Large are positions appointed by the Executive Board after the Officer Elections.  Let us know if you have any questions about any of the officer positions.

Step 3 - Announce

**It is NOT a requirement**, but you are welcome to announce your candidacy by filling out this Google Form. Later in January, we will be releasing all of the candidacy statements so that Hadley voters have a chance to get to know you prior to the election.  If you fill out the form by January 20, you will be included in the first round of candidate releases.  If you fill out the form after that date, your information will be added as soon as possible.

Not sure that you want to run yourself, but know someone who would make a great officer for 2018?  Filling out this same Google Form using the nomination section will allow you to let us know about them!  We will contact them directly and see if they are interested in running.

Step 4 - Nominate

Step 5 -        Vote!

Join us on February 1, 2018 at our monthly meeting to vote in the 2018 Officer Elections.  You can announce your candidacy at the meeting that night - there is no requirement to announcing prior to the meeting.  We hope you'll join us for an active and successful 2018.
